PepsiCo originated in New Bern, North Carolina, where pharmacist Caleb Bradham created the drink originally known as "Brad's Drink" in 1893. It was renamed Pepsi-Cola in 1898 and the company was incorporated in 1965 after merging with Frito-Lay. The current corporate headquarters is in Purchase, New York.
